Group Events
We can accommodate up to 40 people for a sit down dinner or reception catered by your favorite catering company or one we can recommend to you. Please be sure to review our rental agreement for more specific requirements and restrictions.

Want to host a cocktail party or meeting for your group, we can do that too!

Special rates do apply for these types of events as well as the following:

Catering
All events must be catered by a City of Chicago licensed professional food handler. We can supply you with a list of recommendations or you can provide your own, providing they meet our requirements. All caterers must submit a copy of their City of Chicago catering license and their City of Chicago liquor license, proof of general liability insurance in an amount of $2,000,000 and liquor liability insurance in the amount of $2,000,000. These need to be onfile with us 30 days prior to the event.

Alcoholic Beverages
Must be provided by caterer or client. If you will be supplying it yourself, you will need to hire a bartender from the catering company so that their insurance will cover us. All leftover beverages must be removed that evening or taken with you after your stay should you be staying with us.

Deposits
A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required at the time the date of the event is confirmed and the remainder due 10 days prior to the event for the rental of our facility. Any damages incurred during the event will be billed to the client.

Other
As we are not required to be ADA compliant, our restroom facilities are located in the basement and 2nd floors.

Parking is limited but we have fabulous access to mass transit (bus or the L) and of course cabs are a great way to get here.

Should your caterer need to perform a walk through prior to your event, please have them contact our office to arrange for a time.

Any contracts with outside vendors are the responsibility of the individual booking the event. Cat's Cradle is not liable for any cancellation charges should they occur.
